The sweet caramelised flavour of the apples compliments the pork chops perfectly.
YOU WILL NEED
- 2 T (30 ml) butter
- 3 T (45 ml) soft brown sugar
- 4 – 5 golden delicious or starking apples, peeled and pipped
- 2 whole cloves
- ½ t (2.5 ml) Ina Paarman’s Seasoned Sea Salt
- squeeze of lemon juice
Melt the butter, add sugar and cook over high heat until liquified and golden brown.
Dice apples, add together with cloves. Cover with a lid and cook slowly for 10 minutes until the apples are soft but not squishy.
Add Seasoned Sea Salt and lemon juice. Can be pre-prepared and reheated.
This apple mixture freezes brilliantly.
