You will need
1 cup (250 ml) oats
1 ½ cups (375 ml) fresh full cream milk
2 cups (500 ml) water
½ t (2.5 ml) salt
¼ cup (60 ml) sugar
1 t (5 ml) ground cinnamon
½ cup (125 ml) flaked almonds
warm milk for serving
The night before soak the oats in the milk.
Next morning, add water and salt and bring to a slow simmer.
Stir now and again and cook for 10 – 15 minutes.
Dish the oats into warmed bowls.
Mix the cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle over porridge.
Top with almonds and serve with warm milk.
