You will need
2 corn on the cob
1 green baby cabbage, thinly sliced
1 red baby cabbage, thinly sliced
1 yellow pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
2 carrots, sliced into thin matchsticks or grated
4 spring onions, thinly sliced
3 T (45 ml) sesame seeds, lightly toasted in a dry frying pan (reserve 1 T (15 ml))
2 t (10 ml) Ina Paarman’s Vegetable Spice
2 T (30 ml) soy sauce
¼ cup (60 ml) Ina Paarman’s Balsamic Vinaigrette (shake well)
Place the whole mealies on the braai grid, turn until charred. Cool and cut kernels from the cobs.
Toast the sesame seeds and keep on one side.
Mix all the salad ingredients in a large bowl.
For the salad dressing: shake or whisk together the soy sauce and Balsamic Vinaigrette.
Just before serving, toss dressing lightly with the slaw ingredients, taste for seasoning.
Sprinkle over reserved sesame seeds.
