Apple and mince are a good combo, the apple supplies moisture and flavour, especially if combined with either our Masala or Cajun Spice.

You will need

500 g best quality beef mince
¾ cup (180 ml) apple grated with skin
2 t (10 ml) Ina Paarman’s Masala or Cajun Spice
2 T (30 ml) Ina Paarman’s Roast Onion Soup & Gravy Powder
1 x 25 g Ina Paarman’s Liquid Beef Stock

Method

Adjust the oven rack to the middle position and pre-heat the oven to 180°C.

Meatballs

Reserve half of the grated apple for the sauce and add the other half to the mince mixture.

Mix all the ingredients for the meatballs together lightly with a small knife. Roll into small balls.

Butter a medium size ovenproof dish and pour half the Pasta Sauce in the dish, spoon over the remaining grated apple.

Arrange the meatballs on top of the sauce.

Coat meatballs with remaining Pasta Sauce.

Bake for 25 – 30 minutes.

Serve on Spaghetti.
