This you must try, be sure to use good quality streaky bacon! One of the best things I have tasted in a long while.

Chilli & Garlic Seasoning

You will need

250g streaky bacon
3T (45ml) honey
½ t (2,5ml) Ina Paarman’s Chilli & Garlic Seasoning
sesame seeds
125g dried apple rings (or chunks) to nibble

Method

Adjust the oven rack to the middle position.

Preheat oven to 200°C.

Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Lay the bacon slices on the lined baking sheet in a single layer.

Warm the honey, in a cup, in the microwave for a few seconds to liquify it. Stir in the Chilli & Garlic Seasoning.

Brush the warm honey over the bacon rashers.

Bake for 10 – 15 minutes or until bacon is crispy and browned.

While still hot, sprinkle each rasher with sesame seeds.

Use on sandwiches or pack into lunch boxes as a special treat to be enjoyed with dried apple.
