Linguine with Basil Pesto

Two for supper? Easy, boil linguine pasta and toss it with our flavourful Basil Pesto and grated hard cheese. Top with cheese shavings. All you need is a glass of red wine and perhaps a green salad.

Basil Pesto, Pasta Spice

You will need

200 g linguine pasta
2 t (10 ml) Ina Paarman’s Pasta Spice
1 T (15 ml) olive oil
⅓ cup (80 ml) hard cheese, grated
1 T (15 ml) butter
1 x 125 g Ina Paarman’s Basil Pesto
freshly ground black pepper

Method

Boil the pasta according to pack instructions, or to your taste.

Strain pasta but reserve ¼ cup (60 ml) of the pasta water. Return pasta to pot.

Toss the pasta with Pasta Spice, olive oil, grated hard cheese and butter.

Add the whole pack of Basil Pesto and reserved pasta water.

Toss to coat the linguine really well.

Dish into warmed bowls and top with cheese shavings.

Finish off with freshly ground black pepper.
