Pork Sausages with Onions

Only four ingredients are needed to make this tasty and flavourful recipe.

2 large onions, thinly sliced into thin half rings
Ina Paarman’s Green Onion Seasoning
500 g pork sausages
Ina Paarman’s Sticky Plum & Soy Marinade & Baste

Adjust the oven rack to the middle position.

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Spread out half the onions in an ovenproof dish.

Season lightly with Green Onion Seasoning.

Squeeze out ± ¼ cup (60 ml) Sticky Plum & Soy Marinade & Baste over the onions and stir through.

Arrange the sausages in a single layer over the onions.

Top the sausages with the remaining onions lightly seasoned with Green Onion Seasoning.

Squeeze ± ½ cup (125 ml) Sticky Plum & Soy Marinade & Baste all over the onions.

Bake for 45 – 50 minutes.

Serve with mashed potatoes or polenta and green vegetables.

 

Variation

Use skin-on chicken thighs in place of the pork sausages.
