You will need
T (30 ml) sugar
¼ cup (60 ml) water
1 – 2 t (5 – 10 ml) rosewater
¼ cup (60 ml) gin or vodka
1 x 750 ml bottle prosecco or sparkling wine
2 cups (500 ml) soda water
ice cubes, to serve
rose petals, to serve
Method
Place the sugar and water in a saucepan over low heat and cook, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to the boil. Allow to cool completely. Measure rosewater, sugar syrup, gin, prosecco and soda water in a large jug. Add ice and stir to combine. Top with the rose petals and serve.
