Is there a better way to start your day than with a healthy, uncomplicated homemade Muesli? Oats, grated apple, honey and a side serving of fruit and yogurt – YUM!

You will need

1½ cups (120 g) oats
pinch of salt1
½ cups (375 ml) apple juice
1 apple, unpeeled and grated
1 cup (250 ml) plain full cream yoghurt
fresh fruit in season, we used pink grapefruit
2 T (30 ml) honey


Soak the oats, seasoned lightly with a pinch of salt, overnight in the apple juice. Before serving, stir in grated apple. Serve topped with yoghurt and fresh fruit in season and drizzle with a little honey.
