T-bone Steak with Pepper Sauce

A special Saturday night or middle of the week treat for two.


  • 2 well matured T-bone steaks ±2 cm thick.
  • Ina Paarman's Garlic Pepper Seasoning
  • olive oil
  • 1 x 200 ml Ina Paarman's Ready to Serve Pepper, Cheese or Mushroom Sauce

Cut once through the fat on the side of the steaks.

Season steaks generously on both sides with Garlic Pepper Seasoning and drizzle with olive oil. Leave at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.

Stand the steaks fat side down on the work surface.

Thread 2 sosatie sticks through the meaty eye of steaks. (see pic)

Preheat a dry, heavy ribbed griddle pan until very hot. First cook the steaks upright, with the fat sides down, then remove the sticks and lay the oiled and seasoned sides on the hot surface and press flat. Do not turn until first side is well browned. Then turn and brown the second side briefly.

Loosely cover steaks with foil. Leave to stand for 6 minutes. Pour the Sauce of your choice into a sauce boat and heat in the microwave for 1-2 mins

Serve steak with the Sauce, chips (try our Ultimate Potato Chips) and a green salad.
