Tenderstem Broccoli and Asparagus

A festive combination of upmarket green vegetables.


  • 2 punnets tenderstem broccoli
  • 2 punnets green asparagus (well rinsed)
  • olive oil
  • Ina Paarman’s Vegetable Spice

Place vegetables in the basket of a regular or micro steamer. Drizzle with about a tablespoon of olive oil and toss.

Steam until just tender and still bright green, about 5 – 10 minutes, depending on size. Season with Vegetable Spice and add another small splash of olive oil before serving.

Ina's Tip

The olive oil preserves the colour during steaming. Best to season after cooking.
